Titans QB Vince Young will be on the move during the offseason.

Updating previous reports, the Tennessee Titans plan to trade or release QB Vince Young, reports Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean. Owner Bud Adams made the decision to move forward without Young, who has not yet been informed of the decision. ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that Young's contract cannot be terminated until Feb. 7, which is when waivers begin for a new season. It will be interesting to see which teams will be willing to take a bite of this apple. There are more than enough teams lacking at QB to be an active market for Young. Best fit???

I defer to your wisdom Coach. The kid has the potential but I'm not sure that any organization can straighten out his messed up head.

Even if your team has a decent QB, Young could be one heck of an insurance policy (like Vick in Philly) if Da Man goes down. If the price is right.

Does that mean Fisher keeps his job?

Good question....I wonder if Adams just cuts bait on both, and allows the new coach to form his own team. dunno:

That being said, potential targets for Young:
Denver(Tebow may not be it, and Orton is bait I hear).
Carolina(Claussen?!?!?! then again they may get Luck)
Arizona
Washington
Miami
Jacksonville(wouldn't that be attractive to Young to stick it to Tennessee? ;) )
Oakland(BEST BET HERE!!!!!)
Minnesota

Just to name a few....
Like him or not, He and McNabb will be the best option for FA at Qb

Letting go of Fisher would be a huge mistake.

Denver - They are in love with Tebow
Carolina - Should be picking Luck
Arizona - Young would be able to open up the running game
Washington - Shanahanagans: Young isn't the next Elway so Shanny won't go for him
Miami - Might be a good fit
Jacksonville - Why replace Garrard with someone just like him
Oakland - Desperately need a QB, Young needs to work on his 40 time though to impress Al
Minnesota - They should give Joe Webb a chance

While I don't disagree......
Denver - Needs solid back up for Tebow
Carolina - IF luck comes out, I agree...if not?
Arizona - I agree...but what about rookie in draft also?
Miami -
Jacksonville - here we disagree. I don't see Garrard as a duplicate of Young or versa visa. Young is much more capable, but has a much worse attitide.
Oakland - :biglaugh:
Minnesota - I wish it were so...but I don't think they will.

One other team to think about is Buffalo. Yes, Fitzgerald did okay. Is he the future? They have been burned by rookie Qbs left and right, so maybe Young here might be a solid fit, and draw in ticket sales?

If I was Fisher, I would be asking for a release. The decision to move on without Young has angered the locker room, not a good place for a lame duck coach.

I forgot about Buffalo. I don't see Fitzgerald as the future. Young would be a good fit there.

How about Seattle. They made the playoffs despite having hasselback as their qb.

SF has some great receivers in place, crabtree, davis, gore etc. I dont think Alex Smith or Troy Smith is the answer there.

Both good topics
One reason I stayed away from Seattle is Whitehurst and Hasselbeck. That is alot of salary for one position already. If Hass retires...yeah, I could see it.

As for San Fran. I don't know. I don't see Harbaugh wanting a head case like this(assuming Harbaugh is the coach....). Pretty tough spot to put a rookie HC. Yes, the tools are there though, with Gore, Davis and Crabtree. This might be a great spot for a vet like McNabb for a year or so...and draft the Qb of the future.

Hope Jax stays away from Young. More like to see them get Mcnabb in FA and draft a QB then work on drafting defence.

If Young does get picked up, and most likely he will, he'll take a major money hit. Just came to mind, whats the chance teams are still remembering the J. Russell incident and weary of Young and his mental issues? They might decide to avoid him like the plague.

Oakland!!! We need a QB BADLY!!

I would easily roll the dice on Young; but they just have to make sure they do a sit down with him first to make sure he got his head out of his a$$ now.

The one big diff is; even as soon as Jamarcus was drafted, A LOT of people said he sucked!! No, not that he shouldnt be the 1st overall pick, that he just SUCKED! PERIOD! I for one was def not shocked that he was a bust, and hated him from the day he was drafted! His accuracy, work ethic and his just lack of common sense was something that lots of people wrote articles about before he joined the NFL. I remember there was an article that said something about him running a 2 minute drill, it was like 3rd and long, he ended up avoiding a sack and picking up a few yards but was caught in bounds, and rather then hurrying it up, he was standing around grinning and being all happy he avoided the sack.... idiotic stuff.

Young is a totally diff animal; he has the talent and tools. I would easily give Young another chance, but I would not even put Jamarcus on my team as a water boy.

Don't think VY could mentally take Oakland or Al Davis. He needs to go somewhere that doesn't care and used to losing and no pressure on winning. That being said, he could go to Buffalo. But could he handle 8 home games in that nasty brutal cold weather?
