If brown moves Palmer it will surprise the heck out of me. They'll look to the great NW in an attempt to sign an over the hill QB.

They already have an over the hill QB.
Could see them drafting a QB and giving Collins another year to tend the flock.

I've read several places that the Titans are very interested in Matt Hasselbeck if he's freed from Seattle.

I've read those pieces too, and it just seems like typical offseason speculation. Really, would it make any sense to bring in someone as old as your current quarterback but doesn't have the benefit of familiarity with the team?

First as stated in the Palmer thread, Palmer won't be dealt.

Second, I have heard multiple stories that say Collins really is thinking of retiring. Not to mention he is a FA.

That leave Rusty Smith. Assuming they hold up to their stated plan to jettison Young.

I simply don't see anyway around it. Assuming no CBA by draft, they will draft a Qb. I am sure they are hoping and praying either Gabbert or Newton falls to them. Or maybe they try to deal up. But they have to snag a Qb in this draft, and it will have to be early.

i'm hearing that there will soon be rules for the 2011 season much like the 2010 season w/ no cap so that whether there is a cba or not, there will be a free agency period before the draft . . . this may or may not happen, but i still don't believe the titans will go into the season with a rookie qb starting for them . . . and because of this, i still don't get the feeling they will draft one in the first . . . now, if gabbert falls, possibly, but i'm still not feeling it . . . none of these guys are ready to start and they'd get much more value developing a 2nd or 3rd rounder and grabbing a quality defensive lineman in the 1st.

some free agent will be getting a decent salary from the titans at least for 1 year . . . the only way i see one of the old guys is if it's just a 1 yr deal which could very well happen . . . collins, hasselbeck, bulger or even bringing billy volek back would help get them thru this semi-rebuilding period . . . i believe kolb will be out of their reach and hanie (RFA), but he'd be too hard to pry away from chicago . . . but even gradkowski (FA) would have better results than a rookie . . . the word is next year's crop of qb's will be much better than this year's . . . i believe they'll draft one this year, but i believe they'd be better served getting by this year and looking for their qb of the future next year . . . but, that's just my opinion . . . ;)

another opinion: i think bud adams pissed in his cheerios dumping both fisher and young . . . lol

Alot of this depends on Munchak and his OC. Muncho is a "Tennessee Man", so hes going to get two years of failure no questions asked.

They didn't make an all out effort to sign him RC and that has led to speculation on the part of many writers.

I haven't heard anything about Carrol wanting to move Hass???

He is an FA. So, there is always the chance of someone coming in and over bidding. There are plenty of dire Qb situations, and drafting a young Qb to learn, then nabbing a Hass to fill in till that guy is ready is a solid formula.
