Titans promote Mike Munchak to HC

What were this guys actual qualifications to be the coach of an NFL franchise?

Hes been nothing higher than an offensive line coach. I get hiring your favorite boy, but I think this was more Bud Adams getting a lackey that wont argue with him than an actual football coach. I dont like this hire.
 
I hear what you're saying Sarge. It's like he's been handed a life time achievement award in the form of a HC gig. I wish him well but fear he's facing an uphill battle.

You could say the same thing about Russ Grimm, who is a constant canidate for HC interviews. I think this could be a potentially good hire. You have change, but at the same time knows the team well, and knows the organization. The key will be what assistants he can get, as top canidates have been pretty well picked over.
 
Yes he fired Mike Heimendinger or however you say it.

Now the bastard is after Jerry Gray, newly hired DB coach at Texas, and former teammate.

He has also hired Bruce Matthews, another former teammate, to be OL coach.
