Throw Sleeper out there

Give me Scheffler, Gaffney, Arian Foster, and Derek Anderson.
-You will have to spend earlier on Foster but I feel you nab their top ground gainer. Kid is hungry, motivated and won't let the rookie in. Tate also entered the season banged up and he won't recover in time to stop Foster from taking a firm hold on the job.
- Gaffney is gonna get the biggest boost from Marshall and Scheffler leaving. Orton needs this kind of target to get the ball to, and the Rookie won't be ready. I see Gaffney as a top 25-30 Wr..
-Scheffler is walking into the right spot at the right time. Pettigrew is gonna be one of THOSE GUYS, and the Lions didn't sit and wait. They drafted a reciever to compliment and that some of the pressure of of Calvin. I feel he has a good shot at being a top 10 TE.
-Anderson is gonna win that job straight out, and he has some nice toys to play with.

No way Gafney doesn't sit for Thomas. Won't touch him.

I like Nate Burleson in Detroit he's better then any #2 they've had since Roy left and CJ will see a ton of double coverage.

Robert Meachem could be in for a big year, I've never been a Devery Henderson fan.

Justin Forsett will be used quite a bit and is going way to late imo could be a top 15 RB at a #3 RB price.

A couple WRs I like are Knox and Schilens. Somebody has to catch the ball in Chicago and Knox seems the best fit for a Martz system. Schilens is a big receiver who I think becomes the #1 in Oakland. I like Edelman too. Sound like Welker will miss the first 6 or so.

On the RB side, I think Bradshaw becomes the man in NY. Not really a sleeper, but undervalued. I also like Portis to bounce back and put up a 1000 yard season. He's currently ranked in the 45 range in PPR. Great value there.

Agree on Gaffney. Not a big fan. They didn't draft Thomas to sit on the bench.

Burleson should be a decent 3 and an excellent 4 with Calvin on the other side.

Meachem is fools gold for me at this point. He always looks good, but just can't put it together. The guy I like in that group in PPR is Lance Moore. I think he puts up better numbers than Meachem.

I like Forsett as long as they don't bring in a power back, but I still keep hearing that Lynch will be moved. Washington will probably be the reception guy.

I think Chad Henne and Alex Smith are going to be sleepers at the QB position.

Don't really have any solid reasons to base it on just my enormous gut.

Breaston in Arizona is in for a big year. Been working with Lienart on the 2nd team offense for a few years and don't see that partnership ending.

Ryan Torain in Washington. Good #3 RB for next to nothing.

Brandon Marshall. Not a sleeper by any stretch but this guy is gonna be the top WR in the NFL. Easily obtained in the 3rd or later.

Greg Jennings. Another non-sleeper but gonna have a huge year at a budget price.

Kevin Kolb. Get him on your roster. Best of the mid round QBs.

Laurence Maroney is a RB that I value much higher than others and LOVE him at his 10th rd ADP. He will make a solid RB3 with RB2 upside.

I agree with Chris on Forsett, is the RB situation there stays the same that is a guy who could produce a top 15 season.

Another mid rd RB I think I am going to look hard at is Marion Barber. you can snag him in the 6-7th rd and I am not buying the Felix Jones hype. I bought it last year and saw a guy who was not ready to be the man in a running game. It will still be RBBC, but Barber will once again by the best of the trio and with his quad now healthy he could be looking at a nice bounce back season.

Watch the Houston running game in camp. The guy who walks away with the starting job could put up a nice season. Slaton's neck is still jacked up from what i am hearing and Foster and Tate will be fighting for that spot. Foster has been impressive thus far in the offseason and may not give that job away too easily to the rook.

....and just how often has that worked out for Rookie Wr's? ...with a Qb like Orton??

Well, we talking Jabbar Gaffney here. If Thomas can't beat out Jabbar Gaffney, then they should have taken Dez instead (I think we all know that anyway).

Even if Gaffney wins the starting job, I don't expect even #3-4 WR numbers out of him. Just not excited about him.

:headscratch:

Nearly all of the WR's listed with the exception of Colston were pretty high picks and expected to do well. This was a pretty weak WR class imo so the odds that Thomas, Bryant and Tate do well is even higher.

Since we are talking rookie WR's and sleepers, here are two that may have the opportunity to come from no where and shock many people.

Mardy Gilyard - St. L
Gilyard is explosive and is a fighter. Kid is already signed and ready to get into the system. The Rams are not exactly exploding with talent at WR so the opportunity to take a starting spot early on is there. They will likely be playing the rookie Stafford early on and he could lock into a nice chamistry with his rookie receiver. Keep an eye on him in camp, might be worth a later flyer.

Mike Williams - TB
Talent is there.....but so are the character issues......but this is an NFL WR now, so what is new. Many are looking to the other rookie, Benn, to be the one to take off. I like Benn as well, but if I had to take one in a redraft, it woudl be Williams. The Bucs are in need of someone to step up at WR so again, opportunity is there. The talent is also there, just needs to keep the head on straight and build a relationship with the young QB, Freeman.

ER's sleeping beauties.

QB : Stafford. Current ADP 11.06, 17th QB. Cal on one side, Burleson on the other. A decent pair of TEs in the middle, with Best and Smith out of the backfield. Constantly behind in games, forced to air it out. Nice recipe for lots of fantasy points.

QB : Carson Palmer. Current ADP of 9.12, 15th QB off the board. Another case of solid weapons and this is a QB who has had put up huge numbers in the past. Not sure why the lack of love. Not sure I can ever call this a sleeper...

RB : Darren Sproles. Current ADP of 10.06, 44th RB. Speed does wonders in the NFL and there's no reason to believe that Matthews is going to come in and have 300 carries. Not to mention the fact that Sproles will likely be in on lots of passing downs. He could quite possibly outscore Matthews.

I'm sure I'll have more as the season nears.

With or without CJ, RB Javon Ringer is a favorite sleeper of mine.

More of a dark horse than a sleeper is the Jaguars rookie RB Deji Karim
