Found this elsewhere's and wanted to bring it here for discussion.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Fred Taylor - Looks like he is going to be the NE feature feature runner at least untill wheels fall off.. -- winner
Lawrence Maroney - Looks like he is given 1 more season to show something - he sho0uld get a 40% split with Fred. - winner

Thomas Jones - Shonn Greene will play and play early. T. Jones just saw alot of carries go away. - loser
Leon Washington - see above - He was alreaqdy the lesser half of a RBBC - now he might only be good in leagues that giove points for ST. - loser

Ronnie Brown - Unlike some speculation no true RB taken - winner

Jamal Lewis - Jury is out until we see how Davis fares in preseason but With the talent Davis has Jamal might not be sleeping too easy. winner for now

Mendenhall - Loked decent in one true chance he got - Pitt stayed away from a runner until round 5 - while not total confidence Rashard likely feels safe - winner
Parker[/b] - He is safe as the teams starter - Pitt was said to of wanted to take a back earlier - winner

Benson - HUGE vote of confidence - they took 2 really late picks on RB's -- BIG WINNER - this vaults Cedric into the top 30 RB's

McGahee - Geting Peerman isn't good for Baltimore backs - loser
McCalin - Peerman is a GREAT short yardage guy this pick could mean a potential move back to FB for McLain - loser
Rice - in a already 3way muddle backfield he is goopd for none Peerman is a very underated RB. - loser

Addai - just watched his feature role go away. - HUGE LOSER

maurice jones-drew - added top OL and didn't take a back untill really late - winner

Slaton - Houston took no runners - makes Slaton a huge winner here. - winner

LenDale -- took Ringer might motivate Lenwhale to lay off the cheeseburgers or Tenn might have a nother short yardage COP guy.. - loser
CJIII - no change

LT2
- no change as the 4th rounder they took has no real shot at taking anything from LT
Sproles - no change

LJ - they took no RB really so this is great for LJ -- winner
Charles - SAgain they really took no back - winner

Bush / Fargas / McFadden - no change

Buckhalter / Arrington / Torain --- loser

Jacobs - no change

Bradshaw - andre brown is one of the underrated guys in the draft -- loser

Westbrook
- they added no power back and lost buck and added a guy that can spell him -- winner

Portis - no change

K. Jones
- no back added - back up gig is his alone - winner

Grant - no real RB added - Grant is a HUGE winner here as he has 1 more season as featured back. - winer

Peterson/Taylor
- no change

K. Smith - no back of talent really added - winner

dwill/stewart
- no change

turner
- no change

dward - no rb added so it looks like he gets da chance - winner

graham
- he gets no competion for the #2 slot - winner

Pierre Thomas - after sweating Nola taking a rb they don't anywhere in the draft huge winner -- winner
Bush - He loostb the feature role anyway but no new back is a good sign - winner

Sjax - no change
A. Pittman - they added a Texas back to compete - loser

Gore
- took coffee early - thyis cannot be good for Gore who might begin to lose carries if coffee shows anything - loser

Julius Jones
- Seattle doesn't take a back- amazingly they don't -- Julius is a HUGE winner here - winner

Hightower - adding Beanie basically makes hightower a back up / 3rd down back. - loser

I don't know if I'd call MJD a winner yet. Jennings is a huge back and even though he was taken in the 7th, he could steal some goal line opportunities from MJD. Preseason will definitely tell the tale.

Jennings was a huge value where they got him. That kid has a lot of upside and the 7th round was a joke for this kid. When he met with the Jags before the draft, the Jags told him that they thought his upside was Fred Taylor.... enough said as far as the possible impact to MJD's value.

I said in the SO chatbox when he went to Jax in the 7th that he could step in with a Fred Taylor-type workload and he was already better than Greg Jones, and I'll stand by that until I'm proven otherwise.
MJD is a tough competitive little bastard, but he's just not a feature back. He'll still be incredibly productive, but I'd be stunned if he has more than 325 touches, and even more stunned of Jennings gets fewer than 175.
I may be totally overestimating this cat, but many in the Outlaw community were also high on him leading up to last weekend.

I disagree that Gore is a loser from the draft. Coffee is OK, but nothing fantastic. If you look at SF's running situation they just simply have no depth. Adding Coffee gives them a little more depth, but this show is still Gore's and they added Crabtree which will only help to take pressure off of Gore. I think overall, Gore got more mositives than negatives out of this draft.

I feel this will be a big comeback year for Gore and the 9er's

Am I missing something? How in the hell can this be a comeback year for Gore and the 9ers and how will there be pressure taken off of Gore? Is Crabtreee going to throw the ball to himself? No QB means just as much pressure on the running game as last year. Coffee won't split carries with Gore, but the 9ers know that Gore needs help if they want to run the ball 80 times per game.

I agree here. Hill and or Smith at Qb won't do diddly regardless of who was added. Teams won't respect the pass, so they will continue to stuff the run. Until San Fran gets a real Qb, this offense won't be a great piece to own.

I have nothing to come back with that would be a valid response to either of you. I guess it is a hunch, and only that. My thoughts are things will settle down there this year after a rough a rumble season,... management and coaching wise.
