Thoughts on Forte in 2010

First off, I was not a proponent of Forte going into 2009 as I thought the 5-8 range where he was going was too high. This year however he seems to be getting zero respect. One major publication has him as the 35th ranked RB in PPR scoring. I know Chester is there but this seems REALLY low. Martz uses his RBs in the passing game. Am I missing something, as I think he should be in the top 20 range at the worst?

Any input would be appreciated...........

Solid, not spectacular. Taylor does not worry me much, good back-up, but I don't think he taking his job. Forte was 18 in basic scoring last year, I would figure him in that 15-20 range again.

Unfotunately for me last year, my man love for Forte outweighed my skepticism and I fell into the trap in 1 league and drafted him way too high. But I did have other solid running backs, so he rode the pine most of the season. As far as this year goes, he should improve upon last year. He might be able to break the top 15, but I agree with Miller in the 15-20 range. Last year was a transition year for the Bears anyway, bringing in Cutler.

I am not totally sold that Forte will get more than Chester Taylor. I won't argue that Forte has the ability to catch, as he proved in his rookie year. However what he lacks in Martz' offense is the ability to make large amounts of yards after the catch. He has no elusiveness or wiggle. Taylor is more a fit there.

My other fear is that Cutler doesn't seem to be able to FIND the rb, let alone use him.
