The Great Gronk debate

Alright, so most well agree he is as dominant as they come at TE when he plays.....but when will be play? Does he start out on PUP? Can he stay healthy one he does return? There is no higher risk reward player in this year's draft....so when would you take the risk? Current ADP is still early 4th, do you take him there or would the price need to get better?

For me, he would need to skip just a little....I think I like the risk better in the 5th, but he could be a playoff difference maker....

His current ADP on Fantasy Football Calc is 4.11 and this is just about right. Perfect spot for someone to gamble on him as their 4th/5th selection. If he pops, its a bargain, if he busts, it wasn't too costly. I cant see any way that this dude busts either unless hes sidelined with an injury for a lengthy period of time.

I doubt they start the season with him on the PUP unless its so bad that they know he wont be able to play in the first 6 weeks.

I used his ppr adp on the same site, currently 4.4 when I said early 4th.....I could really start to warm up to a Gronk, Pettigrew combo at te. I like Pettigrew this year and he is good enough to hold the fourth down until Gronk gets back. If you can survive till he gets back, he could be the fuel to get you to the playoffs.

Personally, I wouldn't take the guy as a potential top 5 TE.

Lots of TE talent out there and given the situation in NE I have the utmost confidence that Belichek will throw an entirely different offense at us this year. Guy is a genius and he is suddenly TE poor. He started the TE crazy offense and he will move on to something else based on his current talent.
