I wonder what George would have thought about Tricky Nicky?

From what Ive read about him he probably would have hated him.

I was a fan of his as a youngster. I was sick when he was shot in Maryland.

I even met him and shook his hand when he stopped through Monroe once.

And Im probably the only person my age who knows who he was.....

Was it when he was stumping for president?

Yeah. His plane landed and he shook hands with those of us gathered beside the fence, made a short speech and flew off to somewhere else. He never left the airport.

Wallace changed a lot from when he first became a national figure trying to stop the black kids from coming to T-Town. His last election to governor he had the majority of the black vote. George was a common man IMO.
