Texans sign QB Jeff Garcia

The Houston Texans signed free-agent QB Jeff Garcia (UFL) to back up QB T.J. Yates. In a corresponding move, the team waived QB Kellen Clemens. QB Jake Delhomme will be the No. 2 quarterback and Garcia is expected to be the third-stringer. Analysis: No fantasy impact here, but Garcia played for Texans QB coach Greg Knapp in San Francisco so he could overtake Delhomme for the No. 2 spot in a couple weeks (or in the postseason if the Texans get in).

Delhomme is done and has been for years. He's a bandaid to slow the bleeding. Garcia will take over the 2nd spot as soon as he has any grip on the offensive scheme. And if Yates struggles i won't be suprised to see him take over the starter position.
