Houston Texans RB Steve Slaton (hamstring), who has missed the entire preseason, was able to practice Tuesday, Aug. 30. Head coach Gary Kubiak isn't sure if Slaton will be able to play in the preseason finale Thursday, Sept. 1, against the Minnesota Vikings.

Slaton is reportedly on the " roster bubble" and may get cut. Hopefully, he practices and plays this week providing a bit of an audition for potential other teams. Who knows he may play well enough to stay with the Texans. Slaton has proved to be a good runner when healthy........ If he is dropped there are several teams that should end up being interested. He may end up being closer to seeing some action on another team this year than he will be as the 4th fiddle for the Texans. Keep an eye on where he goes but don't expect much, but he might get some playing time elsewhere and could be a bye week fill in.

Being that Kubiak is a graduate from the M.Shanahan school of RBBC-x3 and what ive been reading that D.Ward is for the moment the #2 RB in Houston with B.Tate as #3 so S.Slaton could be cut and land elsewhere.

He could end up being a third down guy on another team and see some action.
