Texans backfield in 2010

"Its An Outrage"
I need some input as to the Texans RB situation in 2010

Is Steve Slaton going to regain his starting job next season or is Arian Foster going to take over as the #1 RB in 2010

Thanks Outlaws

Slaton is going to lose the weight he put on last off season to gain back his speed. I would not be surprised if they go to a RBBC next year between Foster and Slaton. I could also see an open competition next season between Slaton, Foster and Moats for the starting job.

Much will play out in training camp, but I feel Foster has the inside track. He can catch the ball well, and he has more punch. The problem in Houston has been trying to get the right guy their who had the punch for the short score. Brown is not the answer. I predict Foster will work his ass off to get this job, and Moats will be the backup with Slaton moved.
(just a wild assed guess)

Thats what i was thinking, i read that Slaton was fumbling a lot and was benched for that reason

 Foster looked really good and the coaches felt good enough about him to start him in a must win game against the Pats in which he not only played well, but pretty much had a field day. I would look for Foster to be the guy next year.

Sorry to disagree with you all, but Slaton will be the #1 back next year.

We get all geared up over these hot shots that make a splash, but NFL experience speaks volumes.

Slaton will be entering year 3, he's figured out the deal about the fumbles, he catches as good as any back in the league and he's got a kid nipping at his heels.

No doubt it will be RBBC in Houston, but I think you'll see Slaton back in the starting role in '10.

Slaton will be the #1 back next year... cctekguy is correct. Moats and Foster do not have the skills Slaton pocesses. If Slation goes past the 25th pick in your league he will be a steal.

I think he has become a Moats type back now. Who was that other 1 year flameout Texan back who changed his name and tried a comeback about 5 years ago?
