Is Tim Tebow a viable option for week 7 @ MIA but consider it a home game with the Florida Alumni being hosted by the dolphins. Pass TD = 4 Rush td = 6 pass yrds 25=1pt rush yds 10=1 pt. With No Lloyd figure hell be running around a bit, I am starting Ryan with Fitzpatrick on a bye........:wtf:

You lost me somewhere...bear. I see lots of ='s and _ and then see Ryan and Fitzpatrick.

What exactly is your question?

Start Tebow over Ryan? No way.

I dont think I can start him over Ryan but its closer than I thought, hes actually predicted to get more, coming off a bye week....

blah, blah, blah,

Predicted by whom?....The guys who get paid to get readers attention?

Start Ryan.

Not saying Tebow won't blow it up but you drafted Ryan to do a job and picked up Tebow on a lark.

Would you rather have your paycheck or a lottery ticket?

Hell ya he's a viable starter. Watch him put it into the end zone. He may run, he may pass, but he gets the 6 points. Can Decker get him out of jams is the question for the future but for week 7? It's MIAMI for cryin' out loud. This guy's gonna get all the goalline action.

@ 2TD (1 pass 1 run) he gets 10 points. Then his 231 passing yards give another 11 points since 25 yds = 1 pt and at each 100 yards you get an additional point (not mentioned above but assuming) giving you 21 pts. Not bad. If he throws an interception that is -2, yu still get 19. Romo and Newton got 19 and 15 respectively last week. And it's his homecoming and all. Definitely viable.

Current Yahoo prediction week 7 in my league: Ryan-16.66 Tebow 13.56

*disclaimer: The 1st paragraph of this is what I heard on NFL Network's Fantasy show tonight.
They also mentioned his 17 fantasy points week 5, and last year 3 out of 4 fantasy games over 20 points. So he's like "four of five" (80% having a good fantasy week) for his career. Oh and that one game? He only played half. Let's say I revise the passing total to 189 yards passing. He still gets 18 fantasy pts.

I feel the same way about predictions Tek but you cant overlook the rushing points hes going to get and the defense he is playing, as opposed to Ryan going up against DET coming off there first loss.. Ryan at home would get the start but on the road against that pass rush I'll be thinking about this up until gametime.

I must say the man makes a powerful point. You did draft Ryan and he's doing the job, right? Atlanta has a tough little defense to complicate things. You can't go wrong either way (Mr. Enviable) but even tho' Tebow is viable, I'd start Ryan.

Is the dude (Tebow) Cam Newton? That's the only way the risky play pays off.

Put your league stats in here http://www.fftoolbox.com/football/2011/weeklycheatsheets.cfm?Player_Pos=QB&WeekNumber=7 After you log in you can put your league's parameters in and see each week who is ranked higher. In the initial log in screen this link takes you to it shows Tebow (clearly counting rushing TD's 6), but when I go to my league's settings (which I set) it's Ryan. Things like Points per reception for WR's change values.

You seriously can't go wrong starting either one of them.

He is probably going to have 80 yards rushing and at least one rushing TD. Thats 14 points without including passing stats. He is a risky starter but has been a great fantasty QB in the last 4 games. But who knows. You could look like a genius or a dummy starting him over Ryan.

Tebow has a great chance of scoring a few with his legs and throwing one in. He is a very viable one week start, especially this week.

I do feel that, as the season progresses though, he will find it much harder to score from the redzone as it won't take much to gameplan taking that away.

I drafted Peyton Manning to do a job... and so far the only time I have started him he has got me nothing.

Personally I would go with who is going to get me the points - not who I drafted to get me points.

I'd honestly go with Tebow. I agree with whoever made the comments about playing Detroit on the road after a loss. ATL is 10x better at home. As a starter, Tebow is most likely going to get you 40 and 1 rushing, that's 10 points to begin with. Factor in passing stats and you're probably looking at 20 points.

I have Tebow, M. Stafford and Eli Manning. I have put M. Stafford on the trading block and even offered him and J. Finley for Jimmy Graham. The Guy needs a QB bad and still refused. Do not know if I would of actually gone through with it but all the hype around Tebow is getting me a little too confident. But Tebow has not disappointed yet, fantasy football wise. We will see soon if he delivers.

I officially ban myself from ever giving advice again on this site.

Ok he did get 161 yds passing, 65 yds rushing, 1 pt for a 2-point conversion and 2 td's in the end. So he did get 27 pts (in my league). Wow. But I don't know if I'd play him next week. Too nerve-wracking.

You spoke too soon. THe thing about Tebow is he works better under prevent defenses. And could score 20 points in 3 minutes.

fixed

I am an admitted Tebow doubter, and watched most of the game feeling vindicated. Didn't see the ending but I've never disagreed that Tebow is "a winner", just not an NFL caliber QB. He is who I thought he was but MIA let him off the hook.
