Seahawks | Carlson impressing in practice, being used in more packages Wed Jun 10, 07:32 PM
Mike Sando, of ESPN.com, reports Seattle Seahawks TE John Carlson is standing out in OTAs. He's causing DBs to bounce off of him running after the catch and making overhead catches in tight coverage appear routine. Sando also reported that Matt Hasselbeck said Carlson is being used extensively across multiple packages, including third down.
Our view: Carlson seemed to get numbers by default last year when the entire Seahawks WR corps ended up injured, but if he's really improving that much between year one and year two, he could be second to only TJ Houshmandzadeh in the pecking order for targets and reward fantasy GMs who wait on TE.
