rotoworld,

Third-round WR/KR Armanti Edwards reportedly looked "far more advanced" than expected at the Panthers' post-draft minicamp.

The converted quarterback showed great hands, and his athleticism has already electrified observers. Edwards looked like a major reach when the Panthers traded up to grab him in the third round, but the early returns are overwhelmingly positive. He's a name to track in Dynasty circles.

I'd have to see more of him before anything. If you can stash him on the roster, it may turn out to be a spectacular pick.

cbssports.com,
The Panthers signed third-round pick and former Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards to a four-year, $2.5 million contract. He'll play receiver in the NFL and also be assigned work on kick-returns. Edwards is the only player in NCAA Division I history to pass for 10,000 yards and rush for 4,000, and he led the Mountaineers to two national championships and a monumental upset of Michigan.

Analysis: Edwards has seen time in the slot with the Panthers this summer and might turn out to be a dandy pick. Though he's not expected to be a big stat producer in 2010, he does carry lots of potential into the future. If you're in a league where special-teams play counts big, Edwards could be a nice late-round steal. Otherwise he should only be drafted in dynasty/keeper leagues with a late-round pick and rookie-only drafts with a mid-round pick.
