Steelers wideout injured in final minicamp practiceThe bad luck continued today for Steelers wide receiver Limas Sweed, who left the final minicamp practice with what appears to be a serious Achilles tendon injury, coach Mike Tomlin revealed. Sweed, the team's second-round draft pick in 2008, was mounting a comeback from some emotional issues that caused the Steelers to place him on injured reserve for the final two games of last season. If the tendon is ruptured, it likely would mean that Sweed could not play in 2010. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

What a disappoinment he turned out to be. If he does sit out this year, that will be 3 years he's a Steeler and yet to contribute in any way good. Might be time to cut there loses here alos and move on. No reason to keep paying a guy who does nothing for the team.

From rotoworld,

Limas Sweed (Achilles) is likely done for the season, confirms the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

No surprise here at all. A torn Achilles is a serious injury that often takes at least a year to recover from. Sweed's career path needs to make a U-turn quickly if he's ever going to live up to his second-round draft pick status.
