Sunday Ticket Info

For everyone that has Sunday Ticket, just a heads up. When they renew it this year they will likely jump your price to $299 despite their ads for $199 all summer. Reason is, the $199 is for game ONLY. No added features, most notably, Red Zone!

However, just like in years past, they will bend on this price. I called and got it down to $150 with Redzone for free. I don't need the other items in Max like Mobile service as I have Redzone for free already from Verizon.....so this gives me what I had last year for the same price. I was happy.

Just make sure you call, if you don't ask you don't get. I start by telling them I am going to cancel and told them it's because they double my price. They immediately start to go into bargain mode. Offer it all for $210, asked if he could do better as I wanted to pay what I did last year. After a short time on hold, he came back with the base + Redzone for $150.

Hope this helps some Outlaws save some $$

As always, thanks to Efactor for giving the heads up on this tactic many years ago!

I got if for free last year (plus some other freebees) and am going to call them in late August after my promo from last year expires. Should be able to do it again by using the cancelling to switch to cable routine. It helps if you don't have any contract commitment left.

I ended up getting it for free this year by using the "switch to cable" routine. I also used the whole Viacom debacle to my advantage too.

The key is getting past the initial customer service rep on the phone. They can only offer so much, its the higher ups that can make the sweet deals.

I paid $160 last year, but they gave me $20 off for 12 months, so yeah, got it free and then some like the rest.....I know I am moving in 3 months and they have a sweet movers deal that I am going to wait on instead of getting another promo.

Yeah, that's the deal I got last year, $160 and $20 extra off a month for a year, so essentially paying us to take the ticket.

Update for those looking to save money on the Sunday ticket.

My promo from last year finally expired (they told me last call to call back after that for the best deal). I told them I was cancelling to switch to cable because I wasn't happy that they were offering deals to new customers but not taking care of their current, loyal ones. I talked to Stacey and she gave it up easier than a cheerleader on prom night. Without even asking for anything specific, she offered up free ticket plus $20 a month off my regular bill if I took a one year contract. Of course I would take a ONE year contract since it puts me in position to do the same thing next year. She tossed in 3 months of Starz and Encore too, which is no big, but just some info.

Since this is more than I expected, I made her life easier and just said yes and didn't ask for anything else. Free ticket and $240 off my bill for the year for a phone call that seriously took less than 5 minutes. I like girls like Stacey. No small talk. Got right to the business of maintaining a loyal customer who has been with them for 6 years or so.

Just a heads up to all you outlaws wanting to save some of your hard earned cash................

I'm so ****ed I'm stuck in an apartment with now "southern facing" balcony!!! I have to hit up sports bars or settle for what Xfinity will show on cable. GRRRRRR!!!!
