Gather round gambling fans, I'm about to put some knowledge on you. Ride with me on this weeks pick, and you'll be a richer man for it.

This week I'll be placing the biggest sports bet I've ever made..and the money will go on the Saints over 30.5 points. I'm recommending to anyone betting this to buy the hook and bring it down to an even 30.

Why should you follow along with me and take a risk?? Well, I'll break it down for ya..

As any football fan knows, New Orleans offense is sick at home. Almost unstoppable. Recent years have been the most impressive.

In the Drew Brees-Jimmy Graham era, they've played 24 regular season home games. Care to guess how many of them saw the Saints scoring 30+ points? What would the number need to be for you to feel comfortable placing a bet? 13? 15? 17? Try 18 games! 75% of the time, they're crossing the 30 point mark.

But what about those 6 times they scored less than 30? Sure, I figured you'd ask. 2 of those games were against a divisional opponent and another 2 of them were against San Francisco. Feeling any better on the matter?

How about a lil pre game analysis? I'll give a few reasons to feel more comfortable with the bet.

1. It's the Saints opener at home and they're 0-2. No mercy

2. They're facing an Adrian Peterson-less Vikings team that was only able to put up 217 yards of total offense last week while playing in their friendly home environment. Less yards for the Vikings = more 3 and outs = field position and short fields for NO.

3. New Orleans is a no mercy team at home. For instance, in last years blow out vs the Dallas Cowboys it was 35-17 in the 4th quarter. Drew Brees then proceeds to throw a 52 yard strike to Kenny Stills to make it 42-17. 6 minutes left in the game and New Orleans drives to punch another TD in and go up 49-17. Totally unnecessary, but that's how they roll. So if you're fearful that it will be 27-7 in the 4th quarter, and the Saints will slow down, history tells us they won't. Need another example? Ok, I've got 1 for you. 2011 vs Indy. It's 34-7 at halftime. Two 3rd quarter Jimmy Graham TDs later it's 48-7. Probably time to go on cruise control in the 4th quarter, right? Ehhhhh wrong answer. Brees marches em down again for another TD drive, and then the defense gets a 42 yd pick-6. The defender could have just taken a knee, but instead he runs it back to make it 62-7.

Convinced?

Vikings are tenacious.

Penalty for roughing Brees was a back breaker, though.

ER needs 10 in 10 min. Maybe Vikes get desperate and throw a pick 6
