Steve Smith will go for an MRI after injuring his groin on the Giants' practice field Friday.

Smith felt the groin "grab," and was spotted limping afterwards, so it appears he's got a pretty good pull at the very least. Stay tuned for an update. Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham will work with the ones in the meantime.

rotoworld,
Steve Smith (groin) returned to Giants practice on Wednesday.

Smith wound up missing 10 days and New York's preseason opener against the Jets, but his injury was never a worry from a regular season standpoint. Consider him 100 percent going forward. Though a poor bet to catch 100 balls again, Smith remains a top-16 receiver in PPR leagues, and top-20 in non-PPR. We like him just behind DeSean Jackson and Michael Crabtree.
