Mr. Under the radar....Stevan Ridley vs Mr. Over Hyped.....Chris Johnson.
Johnson lives off the reputation of his 2k season, but has never been close since. NE's run game is always overlooked, and Mr. Ridley had a very nice year last year. Both are being drafted in the middle of the 2nd rd, who would you take?
I never quite trust the NE running game year to year. Not that i have anything against Ridley, just never know what to expect from BB. Ridley is seen as a safe pick, I just can't completely warm up to him as a RD2 RB.
Johnson is an enigma.....lives off the hype of his speed and his 2k season. However, despite just not quite living up to the hype that fantasy players attach to him, he always hangs in there as a solid fantasy back. But when you give the taste of Elite, solid is seen as failure. In the 3 years since his 2000 yd season, he has averaged 1218 (over 1000 each year) ru yds, 7 ru TD's, 45 rec, 298 rec yds. So 1500 comined yds and 7 TD's on avg....with an oline that has been a mess. They have made upgrades upfront and I think these averages are his floor if he stays healthy as he has. He can only go up, and we have all seen his ceiling....I like the upside of CJohnson over Ridley.
