Mike Wallace wants a long term deal and is staying away from TC until he gets one......but one of his teammates who is at camp, just got a nice extension to avoid becoming a RFA agent next year. Antonio Brown agreed to a 5 yr extension worth 42.5 mil.

This may not be good news for those hoping that a long term deal for Wallace is close.

Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free-agent WR Mike Wallace turned down a contract offer of five years in the range of $50 million.

The writing is on the wall for Wallace. He won't be in Pittsburgh next year and could find himself traded any day now. Problem is that speculation says the club could only get a 4th for the disgruntled receiver. I think they could get a second. It'll be interesting to see what they get if they deal him away. It's likely that his fantasy value will plummet if he's with another club although that's not a given until we see where he lands, if he's dealt. Long story short, he needs to get his but in camp and sign his tender because that's all he's going to get from the Steelers now.

A couple of camp injuries pop up in camp and with the right timing they may get a second for Wallace..... He is that good.

He would be a great Peyton target but do they have any picks left after getting Peyton?

Okay, let me say here and now I think Wallace is a great Wr.

But can anyone else remember what has happened to the last few Wrs that Pittsburgh has let go? Holmes, Burress and Antwan Randel-el come to mind. None really ever amounted to much post Pittsburgh.

Just sayin.....
