Spiller Nearing Elite Status?

It hasn't been that long since I picked this guy up off the wire. Now they're calling him "top 5".

Can this guy produce elite type numbers while the shadow of Fred Jackson is still lurking?

Absolutely, barring injury, but that's part of the equaison with every back.........

20 touches a week. He will break one long one pretty much every game, so the yardage will be there. TDs will be the big factor in being top 5 area. Fred was definitely the guy inside the 2 last year.

If he can ever get some love in the red zone he can put up fantastic numbers for fantasy owners. Even being shunned inside the 20 I like him all day as a RB 1.

Spiller was a guy i got on the wagon with too early, but i could SEE it there. I think he's money, and fred jackson is mostly there to take the beating. Then again i boarded the mathews train twice

Bills will be one of those teams that both Rbs will get you pts. Until Jackson gets hurt again.

Are we really talking top 5 with him though? A buffalo bill as my top 5 pick would make me pretty nervous.....

Yeah, I'm kinda getting that Ryan Mathews uneasiness about him.

Mathews didn't crap until we put him in the top 5.

Yeah, but did Mathews ever show the moves or explosiveness Spiller has? I don't ever remember seeing it. Just all the "experts" talking about it.

No, Matthews has never shown the value C.J. has, but then again, C.J. has never stepped up and taken over from Jackson either.

I agree with Miller, top 5 is a big stretch
