We all know this is an explosive offense and Colston is a Stud....but what about the #2......who is it??

Henderson started out hot but as he does has dropped off significantly, has 15 rec, 241, and 1.

Meachem is good for a big play here and there, but only has 6 rec for 151 yds and 2 TD's.

There there is last year's surprise in Lance Moore who has been banged up and just now getting into the offense and has 9 rec, 117 yds and 1 TD. Of note, Moore was targeted 7 times last week.

Can anyone step up and be a force as the #2 in this offense or do they spread around too much to see one be a fantasy star???

I think now that he is healthy, Moore will take over the #2. He is the more possession reciever than Colston. Henderson is the deep speed threat that will get you a long score once in a blue moon again...and I think Meachem drops off the map for a while. Colston has been pretty awesome, but is due for his yearly injury knick....if he can stay healthy though...he will have an incredible year.

Right now I think the #2 reciever is Shockey... He has 22 catches (average of 4.5 catches a game), 199 yards (average of 39.5 yards a game), and 3 TDs. Even without a TD in a game, if you're in a ppr league that's an average of almost 8 points a game.

Because Brees moves the ball around the field so much this is a hard question to answer, so I simply have to go with the guy who's gotten the most looks from Drew.

On a week to week basis, I feel Colston and Shockey are the 2 that are constantly gameplanned, and now that Moore is healthy, he will be the third. He is Brees's Welker, if I may. He was slowed by injury but will now be utilized like last season, as the guy to help move the chains and work the quick routes, under Colston and Shockey. Henderson, and meachem will have there games like Garcon and collie, but will have to be ready for that quick strike when their number is called. this is actually "same ole, same ole" for Henderson and meachem. Colston and Shockey are #1's in their respective positions and Moore is a bottom end #2 with upside, especially during these 6 team bye weeks. Meachem and henderson are #3's with little use in ppr leagues.

I think Moore may step up and show some consistency, but I also do not think you will see what you saw from him last season. Brees is spreading the ball around very well and I don't see this changing. Counting on anyone other than Colston and Shockey week to week may be a bit risky.

I also throw in the caveat of once both P.T. and M.Bell are totally healthy, and the weather starts to be an issue if the passing game and Brees' numbers don't drop some....especially as successful as both have been.

As long as Shockey remains healthy, which is nearing a record it seems, he'll be number two. Moore however is a fan favorite in New Orleans. If you don't believe it listen to the crowd when he makes a catch, any catch. He'll sky rocket up the charts if he stays healthy now. I'll be starting him regularly.
