Sidney Rice???

Favre decided to go under the knife for his ankle. So it looks like he will be back. So where do you rank Sidney Rice? And what type of projections do you have for him?

He's a top 10 receiver this year. He posted monster #'s last year but really didn't start to make an impact until Week 6. That's near half the season!! I would look for 80 catches 1500 yds and 12 TD's

Catches and TDs are right. But that's almost 19 yards a catch, which is tough. I would say closer to 1300 yards, but still top 10 at the worst..........

I wouldn't mind having him on my team in my $$ league with V Jackson and R Wayne I can tell you that for sure.

I think my season will start with Jackson, Wayne, Turner, and Rodgers as my keepers but I'm undecided whether to target a WR or RB with my first draft choice which isn't until the 3rd round.

That would make him top-5, and possibly even top-3.

Let's see where he really fits..

Can we agree that AJ, Fitzgerald, Moss and Megatron are the consensus top 4? Would Rice then be #5? I think there's a logjam of 12 similarly valued guys to fill out the next 6 spots.

Wayne, Rice, Marshall, DeSean Jackson, Roddy White, Greg Jennings, both Steve Smiths, Vincent Jackson (if not suspended), Colston, Austin, and Bolden.

Of those names, I feel safer about Wayne, DeSean, Marshall, Austin, and Jennings than I do with Rice. Simply because he's a Favre injury away from being average again, like he was before.

:jerkoff: :)

I stand behind my predictions. Ummm last time I checked Brett hasn't missed a start.

He's on borrowed time, aging, coming off an ankle injury/surgery, Vikes drafted Gerhart, Harvin will be more involved, Shiancoe takes red zone looks, value diminished in PPR leagues..

I like his talent better than his situation, and in no way am I viewing him as a top-5 WR, or even a slam-dunk top-10 WR in any format. He's a borderline WR1 in standard 12-team leagues. In keeper/dynasty leagues, I'm staying away unless Minny brings in an established veteran QB because he'll be drafted way higher than I'm comfy taking him.

I'd honestly rather have Harvin. That's no slight to Rice, however.
