Guy has been in the league since 2003. He's logged 596 quarters of NFL football and turns 31 before next season starts. Worn out?
His value in fantasy is steady right now and NOW might be the time to shake him off your roster for a younger more productive player at a more prominent position. The TE position has a glut of young talented TE's so now might be your last chance to get something substantial for him.
NOT!
In case you haven't noticed, this guy is rapidly becoming an NFL hero. he's not a TD vulture (career 44) but 3 of the last 4 years he's eclipsed 1000 yrs.
2012 was a banner season for him despite the low TD number (3). 110 Receptions (NFL Record). and 1039 yds. (places him 3rd All-Time for TE career).
He also broke the NFL record for receptions in a single game (18) last year. he is also the Cowboys All-Time leader in receptions.
No, it's way too soon to think about trading this gem now. Gronk and Graham have had great seasons but Witten is there every year and has only missed 2 starts in the last 9 seasons.
Besides the phenomenal numbers for 2012, Witten was also awarded the "Walter Peyton NFL Man Of The Year Award" for his volunteer work in the Dallas area.
Keep this guy a few more seasons. Every record Tony Gonzalez breaks in 2013 Jason will be breaking right behind him.
