Should I pick up?

Hightower is sitting on the FA list right now. I also am a bit worried about my WRs (Avery and Moss) and would like to grab a WR off the FA list. Manningham, Steve Smith (NYG), Knox, Stuckey and Burleson are available. If anyone, who should I drop and who should I pick up? I've been battling over this all night and can't decide.

here is my team:

Philip Rivers, SD QB
DeAngelo Williams, Car RB
Darren McFadden, Oak RB
Roddy White, Atl WR
Andre Johnson, Hou WR
Jason Witten, Dal TE
Patriots D/ST, NE D/ST
Jason Elam, Atl K

Vincent Jackson, SD WR
Joseph Addai, Ind RB
Chris Wells, Ari RB
Matt Schaub, Hou QB
Marshawn Lynch*, Buf RB
Donnie Avery, StL WR
Brandon Pettigrew, Det TE
Santana Moss, Was WR
Josh Brown, StL K
Texans D/ST, Hou D/ST

Well, that second Def is taking up valuable space on your bench. Both Manningham and Steve Smith are a force to be reckoned with so far and I'd grab them quickly.

Hightower isn't a bad option either and he's putting up nice points in PPR and non-PPR leagues, but Manningham & Smith seem to be Manning's new favorites. Hightower still has to compete for attention in Arizona.

The biggest problem I face in this league is there are only 2 add/drops allowed for the entire season.

I just picked up Steve Smith and dropped Johnny Knox, whom I also picked up yesterday. I just feel Chicago will spread it around more and he will be more hit or miss. But Steve Smith I believe is developing into a trustworthy receiver, especially if NYG start airing it out like they did last night.

Johnny Knox has great potential this year. He was highly targeted by Cutler Sunday. Plus he is one of the fastest guys in the league. Cutlers drive to be a successful QB will make Knox very successful.

Khris and Ryan targeted Johnny Knox as a rising star in both on the field and the fantasy scoreboard. If you've got a spot on your bench, Knox is a smart pic right now. When he gets really hot, you'll be glad you're not fighting for him on the waiver wire.

Bump Knox up a little more if he is still there

(RotoWire) Knox has taken over as the Bears' primary kick returner, the Chicago Tribune reports. Analysis: "Johnny's the guy," special teams coach Dave Toub said. The Bears want Danieal Manning to focus on defense, and he could return the occasional kick, but Knox has flashed his speed this season and the Bears want to see what he can do as a returner. Give his value a slight bump.
