Shaun Hill given permission to seek trade

(KFFL) Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers have given QB Shaun Hill permission to seek a trade, according to a source. The 49ers likely will release Hill if they are not able to trade him.
 
Yeah, the Carr signing sealed his fate................

Hard guy to figure. Weak arm and not the kind of QB that you will ever take the next step as a team with, but he had a winning record as a starter in a period where others weren't even close. Solid guy but just no upside (I hate that word). Needs to go to a West Coast offense, which the Niners no longer are, despite the perception..............

Nice observations, Maybe The Browns? Moving to a West Coast offense, I hear. Depends a bit on how hard Holmgren shakes the QB tree there and who falls out.
 
If he goes to Carolina he could compete for the starting gig.

He could also be a decent option for the Rams, to keep the seat warm for Bradford then be a competent backup going forward.
