I think ANY coach can be good if given time to build his team like he wants it.

Not many franchises want to give a coach 10 years to succeed, though.

The great coaches are the ones that can adapt their philosophy to the the team they have.

Guys like Martz, Shanny and McDaniel are DETERMINED to play THEIR style football and it doesn't always work with the players they have.

Then there are guys like Belichick who WERE given time and have the guys that they want.

Andy Reid, I think, Is one of the few that can see what he's got and work with it.
