SF RB Glen Coffee

I haven't said anything about Glen Coffee much. As you can see he had a grest pre-season game and if you look back his first pre-season game as good also. I admit I was a bit selfish about this as I have become much more WR oriented in my drafting and I had 3 drafts going on lately and I wanted him in all those leagues. I got him in two of the three, e factor grabbed him in Shula. When efactor speaks everybody should listen.

Now that I have him in all those leagues you should be looking to grab him in some of yours. I saw him play at Alabama and was totaly impresssed. His running style was incredible, totally dynamic. If you look at his college stats they were great. There was other college RBs that acumulated more yards and TDs. But if you look at Coffees' stats closely he was never given the huge load of carries/touches that most College top backs get being...the man.

I knew that when SF stated to use him that his explosive potential would make him one of those backups that get used more than the traditional role calls for. He not going to upset the Gore machine at all. But the SF running game is going to become a potent 1-2 punch, IMO The more they use him the more they will find ways to use him, the coaching staff has apparently already figured this out.

So if you are loading up on WRs early Coffee is worth an look later on as one of those backups that can give you some nice numbers and a big pop now and then.

Now that I have Gore and Coffee safely installed on my roster I am happy to agree with you Coach.

SF is going to be the most improved team this season and I'm loaded with last years wasted talent...bye week be damned.

Singletary is an intensity machine and he has the attention and devotion of the players.

They won't go to the SB and may not even make the play-offs but teams will know they've been in a fight when they leave San Francisco.

I was watching SOFFLII draft closely to see who grabbed him. It is ideal for you having Gore to have grabbed him at 15.07 as most Gore owners I have seen drafting don't even go after him.

SF has a great line to run behind. Tradionally, the #2 in SF is a back that only gets 5-7 carries in relief of gore and they weren't dangerous in the least. Coffee is explosive and will see a role that gives him more touches and in better situations than the typical 1 or 2 series backup.

Here's some trivia for you Coach....

Name another NFL RB named Coffee (though spelled slightly different) who played for GB, Atl and NYG in the late 60's early 70's.

I think this guy has great potential. I slept on him...and had him snaked out from under me in SUDFFL and other leagues. The offense in San Fran just scares the crap out of me. If they had really done Anything to address the Qb position.....

That is the big worry about the O as they may put up the complete absence of a passing game.
