TR if you had checked in here and read several of my offseason draft threads over the last couple years you would still have a JOB. Don't ask for a reference around here. It wouldn't help you gain employment

Overview The last several years drafting has left this team with more holes than deck and the ship is going down fast. The hull needs immidiate reinforcing or the rigging will continue to come apart at critical times.

Running Game Years of ignoring the OLine and bringing in the likes of Jones and Duckett to replace Shaun Alexander have led to this point. (How much do you actually drink while at work TR ??) The total lack of respect opposing D's have for the running game and the FA O Linemen you signed midseason to pass block have resulted in near fatal injuries to the QB

Draft Needs
I guess I would have to say everywhere except LB, TE, and WR, and a pretty good case could be made for another WR.

Peyton Manning wouldn't be able to get the ball to the best WR's in the league in the time that Matt has been getting to unload the ball. 2 top grade Oline are an absolute must to at least give Matt another half a secound for the WR's to get semi open at least. And a RB that could get 3 or 4 yards on 1st and 10 or 2nd and 5 or 6 would also slow the opposing DLine down a bit

If the new GM/Mora draft a QB in the 1st round they need to get the Equipment Manager to order in a bunch of Drool Buckets for Hasslebeck and source out a good supplier of lead soled footware that will be able to cure the "Happy Feet" that the QB of the future will develop.

Willis, Simms, Wrotto, and Spencer are servicable, but they are not equal to Jones and Hutch. They will do very well with a line of a couple top graders and Unger. 2 OL in the 1st and 2nd rd are a must

The other one of the 3 early picks that Seattle has needs to be used on a RB. There was a bunch of 2nd/3rd graded RB's that slipped way back in the draft and yet TR still never grabbed one of them. We saw how that went over. TR is now unemployed

With Solari coaching up the new OLine and a good/descent RB behind them, hopefully we will be able to use Hasslebeck for 2 more years without turning him into an invalid early in his life.

While there are several needs on D as well, the quickest way to see a vast improvement on that side of the field is with a major improvement in time of possession and in the field position battle. After giving the defence a reasonable chance to succeed an assesment of that unit would be much more accurate.

Hopefully the new GM to be will have the time to get over here and see what it will take to keep his new job for a long time.
