Seachickens cut Rice

Seahawks are releasing WR Sidney Rice. Rice signed a five-year, $41 million contract in July 2011.

Surprise surprise..not.

yeah, with Harvin hopefully healthy, and draft coming, Rice was an expensive luxury they didn't need.

Yup, Saves them something like 7.5 mil in cap space. Clemmons and Miller are probly next.

That would put Sea aprox 30mil under the cap

They also just signed Mathews, a 6'5" WR out of the CFL and most feel they will also be drafting a big WR this year fairly early. They tried with Harper last year but SF grabbed him off their PS
