Schaub already a concern...quandary results..

Well the one issue with one of my teams(SEE FULL TEAM in my SIG) was an iffy QB tandem

I have SCHAUB and Shaun Hill ...I decided to fill up my WR and RB core first which is my general draft method each season...anyway,having said that, Schaub as you likely know is currently listed day-to-day. Soooo I have a couple options....if Schaub is OUT I can start HILL against Arizona, which isnt a horrible option all things considered as AZ Def isnt striking fear into me....OR...I can go snag Rex Grossman off Waivers (he has recently been named the #2 over Orvlosky) in the chance I need him over the course of the season.

The upside of Grossman, should Schaub become an injury factor again, is his weapons on offense...which are many.

Hill, while commanding a supposed 60/40 run oriented attack in San Fran, still has some weapons and plays in a weaker division, giving him more opps for better weekly matchups.

Needless to say I have some expendable WR, but holding 2 bench spots for QB (in Hill and Grossman) doesnt really feel smart....but I dont want anyone grabbing Grossman from off the waiver wire (he is there now) if it is a prudent move to get him.

My thought is to drop either Earl Bennett or Hakeem Nicks to grab Grossman.

Any and all input would be appreciated. I am thinking of dumping Bennett...because I have a nice array of WR (Megatron, Roddy White, Ant.Gonzo, Lee Evans, Chris Henry, Bennett and Nicks)

Who should I roll with if Schaub does not start (against what appears to be a formidable NY Jet DEF)? Do I start Hill or should I just bite it and snag GROSSMAN right now for the future just in case situations with Schaub?

Phew...that was long...

QB Matt Schaub (HOU) participated in practice Tuesday, Sept. 8, and is expected to start Week 1.

He's gonna play.

Like RC just pointed out he is likely to play this week.

But this could be an ongoing or reoccuring problem this year. You do have more WRs than you can use so grab Sexy Rexy or some other starter who may be available.

Agree with this. If you have deep rosters for a bu QB, I'd hold on to Bennett between those two choices.

I think I am gonna drop Nicks and grab the Rexinator just in case...with the offense there...Rexy could thrive if Schaub was damaged seriously.

I dont know how deep your league is....But I couldnt imagine people are going to be flocking the waiver wire to grab Rex Grossman. I think you would feel pretty horrible watching Hakeem Nicks tear it up. While Grossman rots on your bench. Id hold off.
