Auburn has proven me wrong and jumps to #1 on the strength of its victories. Idle Boise State continues to ride around 7th in the country. The schedule just doesnt do it for me. My new Top 10 flimsy is Michigan State, who has risen to 4, but could go undefeated and avoid Ohio State.

Rest of the poll plays out pretty much as expected until you hit #24. For the first time in the real polls since the 1990s and for the first time here ever, welcome to the Top 25 Baylor. The 6-2 Bears head to Austin, where anyone can win lately, strangely as 7 point underdogs to unranked and underachieving Texas.

To get some of you to post in here....and Im sure your opinions will change week by week. If the season ended today, this poll would pit the Auburn Tigers versus the Oregon Ducks for the title.

Who would win? My take: Auburn

Michigan is actually 25 in one poll. I wont rank USC, so someone had to fill the spot.

Looking at the numbers, your 5-2 with losses to a top 5 and top 20 team, both relatively close. I dont think 25th overall is a stretch.
