The Jets are working on having suspended WR Santonio Holmes learn all three receiver positions after he played almost strictly the "X" spot -- or split end -- as a Pittsburgh Steeler.
The X is Braylon Edwards' position, so the Jets are attempting to diversify Holmes' abilities. It's worth noting that Holmes was the "Z" (flanker) at Ohio State, opposite Ted Ginn. Holmes may not start, but will at least play in all three-receiver sets when he returns from suspension in Week 5. The Jets' run-heavy ways, however, will limit his appeal in fantasy leagues.
