Saints Want Staggered Suspensions

Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports the Saints likely will ask the NFL to stagger the suspensions of DE Charles Grant and DE Will Smith if their suspensions are upheld.

I am sure they would also. The Saints just went through the normal NFL appeals process and acepted the suspentions. The Vikes on the other hand took the NFL to court using a judge to hold things up. So while this probably won't happen for either team the Saints probably have a slight leg up over the Vikes.

I'm not sure - what would the message be if they were to grant that option to one team and not the other if the only thing different is that the Minny's challenged the suspensions?

That's why I stated that this is unlikely to happen for either team. The NFL has almost zero reasons for doing this.
