For those in playoff leagues with IDP.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Saints SS Roman Harper is dealing with a "significant" ankle injury. Analysis: It sounds like a possible high ankle sprain. Harper must have suffered the injury late in last Saturday's win over the Lions. It's "a new one," reports beat writer Jeff Duncan, "and it's significant." Harper is one of the league's better in-the-box, run-support safeties, so his absence would be major against San Francisco's run-first offense in the Divisional round.

Saints SS Roman Harper told reporters that he plans to play through his "significant" ankle injury in the Divisional round.
Harper didn't practice Wednesday, but did do individual drills. "I'm resting up, getting a little bit better, getting healthier every day," he said. "So I feel good about this weekend. ... I'm moving around well." Harper essentially guaranteed he'll play against San Francisco, so look for him to start.

How effective will he be tho with that injury? Might be better if he sat and got some more rest on it. Let the other guys play and only play him if really needed. They might just need him more next week than this week.

OR that's totally the plan but the saints wanna make sure the 9ers hafta game plan as if harper is there AND if he aint

Saints SS Roman Harper (ankle) is listed as probable for the Divisional round.
The Saints got a mid-week scare when reports claimed Harper's ankle injury was "significant" and he missed Wednesday's practice, but the run-stuffing safety returned to work on Thursday and Friday. Look for Harper to play most of his snaps in the box at San Francisco, working to stop Frank Gore.

Sure hope they aren't making a mistake by playing before he's ready. Either they are really nervous and feel they have to have him play to stop gore or his backup isn't all that good. Think i'd rather have a LB spy Gore and keep him in check than risk injury to a player they will definitly need next week.

And seriously, it is Alex Smith they are playing against. Guys been a lost cause his whole career til now. Either Harbaugh is just that good at getting QBs to perform better than they are or Smith made a deal with the devil for 1 good season.

One other option there Cerberus, maybe the injury report was overblown. He did practice in full two days after it was reported.
