According to ESPN's Pat Yasinkas, free agent Mark Brunell is still the favorite to act as Drew Brees' backup in 2010.

The returning champs won't enter the season with just Chase Daniel and Sean Canfield behind Brees. Former Tulane star Patrick Ramsey is another veteran option. The Jets have also shown interest in signing Brunell, but they can't sign him until late July due to the uncapped year's "final four" rule.

This is a crucial decision for Saints. Remember what Brees is on the cover of this year.......:stretcher:xpope:

Marc Bulger could be available and could have enough left in the tank as a backup on a high quality team as the Saints

This seems like a no-brainer to me as well. Not sure why no one is looking at Bulger more.
