rotoworld,
Chargers agreed to terms with rookie RB Ryan Mathews, the No. 12 overall pick, on a five-year contract.
He only missed a few days, and will return to the field as San Diego's first-team tailback, a position manned by FB Mike Tolbert (not Darren Sproles) to this point in camp. Though Mathews should flirt with 300 touches if he stays healthy, he's being drafted too early for our tastes. His current ADP is squarely in the second round, and we've often seen him in the first. Mathews will lose a lot of receptions to Sproles, and possibly goal-line carries to Tolbert.
