Running Back NoseDive! Starter switch? Waiver?

Ok.

I have:

RB Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB (started, 5 points week 1)

RB Reggie Bush, NO RB (started, 5 points week 1)

RB Jamal Lewis, Cle (bench, 9 points week 1)

RB Julius Jones, Sea (started, 20 points week 1)

On the wire available are:

Willis McGahee, Bal

Cadillac WIlliams, TB

Mike Bell, NO

Ricky Williams, Miami

I had last pick in my draft, and went with more a receiver core. My running backs did terrible, except for J. Jones who I did not start. I started Jacobs and Bush and got burned. I am more interested in a long term waiver move, not having to panic each week.

Is there any clear move to make here that I am missing?

OR

Would you just swap my starters for next week? Is it as simple as starting:

RB Jamal Lewis, Cle (bench, 9 points week 1)

RB Julius Jones, Sea (started, 20 points week 1)

This is a no point per reception league.

Thanks for your insight!

Jamal Lewis is like bitting into a jalepeno pepper. He'll get to 1000 yards, but you'll cry watching him get there.

Mike Bell did well because P.Thomas was out. But PT is expected back this week.

Ricky Williams was one of the only forward moving dolphins in the water last week against a Defense that did very well, which says something.

McGahee and Caddy are both must-grabs as long as they are healthy!

Don't touch McGahee. Rice is the tasty, starchy flavor of the day in B-More for this year, with a side of Ron-Ron. (McLain)

They won't be playing the Chiefs defense every week so there won't always be that many RB touches to go around.

Don't be fooled by week 1.

Depending on how many points you get for TD's... you may want to consider that it was McGahee that delivered the pizza and not Rice when the team was hungry for a score.

I wouldn't panic and drop any of your backs at this point. Your backs will play better than this. Caddy is a nice pickup but the the wheels may fall off, they have in the past. So then you have dropped a starter for someone that may be gone for the season after a few weeks.

I like Caddy as a pickup if you are dropping a backup kicker to get him or a second TE if your first has a late bye week or a second D if your first D has a late bye week or your 5th WR maybe.

I totally agree...in non PPR, Bush is a waste of time..I would grab Caddy or Bell instead of Bush.

As for Bell, the point was made that he broke out because PT was hurt. That is correct. However, there are alot of rumblings that state Bell might just have pushed PT to the back burner. So if you are a PT owner....keep an eye on that.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like Bush is a sink hole for my league. May have to look hard at the waivers......
