Royal and I don't mean Robert

Broncos | Fantasy Alert! - WR Eddie Royal Tue Jun 16, 03:39 PM
Lindsay Jones, from the Denver Post, states Eddie Royal frequently looked like the very best skill position player on the field --- fantasy alert! He's going to make A LOT of catches this year.
Our view: With or without Brandon Marshall is the big question. Royal will play the part of Wes Welker in this New England West offense - but could he be as productive if Marshall isn't there to draw the coverage over? We expect the Broncos to try and run more than others are predicting, but when they need to go to the air Eddie Royal could be targeted the most - even if Marshall sticks around in Denver

Can Orton make these throws? Seems Marshall and Sheff would be easier targets.

Broncos | Peter King feels Marshall is staying in Denver Tue Jun 16, 02:50 PM
Peter King, from SI.com, feels strongly the Broncos won't let Marshall out, and they'll let him sit as long as he wants, even if that means he won't be in camp by September.
Our view: King notes that if the Broncos give in to Marshall's trade request it will be a sign of weakness and the next star that feels underpaid (Clady, Royal, Harris, etc) could jump at the chance for a big payday ahead of schedule. There are rumors flying around that Baltimore is a possible destination for the talented WR, but at this time it's only speculation. This story is far from over, but we are looking at a long holdout from Marshall if the Broncos decide not to trade him.

I have to reserve judgement until there's a Marshall departure and seeing what they get in return if that happens.

I can't see many longballs in his future with Orton regardless. I guess that makes him more pertinent to me in a PPR league.

How about iffy WR2 or strong WR3/Flex?

IMO Royal's year will be more related to the O-line success. IF the O-line can gel, and open holes for Moreno et. al. and protect Orton...they he will have a huge year...regardless of Marshall. If Orton is chased all over, and they can't run....then Royal won't rate a #3 spot on your roster.
