Roy Helu: Pass Blocking Machine

The Shanahans in DC talk a lot about the pass blocking skills of Hightower and I agree they are good. He only allowed 9 QB pressures in 119 snaps putting his grade just south of the top 10 however Helu smoked him last year. Out of 78 passing snaps Helu allowed only 2 QB pressures placing him 4th behind only Fast Freddie, Turner, and Snelling. Both of these stats should bring some comfort to owners of RG3. Fret not about passing down snaps in our nations capital if Helu continues to out perform Hightower in the running and receiving game which I'm here to tell you he will do. However, continue to fret over Shanny and his insane ways.

Interesting thing too is McCoy is rated as nearly the worst. Part of that is Vick holding on to the ball trying to make something happen.

yeah, don't read too much into McCoy's numbers there. the 2011 numbers are up on that link now.

Love hearing positive things about Helu...I held onto him despite my attempts to jump off the Shannahan wagon in the off season. I hope the guy pans out.

He really does have the skills and if he's improved at all I don't see how they can keep him off the field. Helu's durable, skilled and young, but somehow Morris will start at least 4 games.
