The Jets are one of the many NFL teams that believe Purdue DE Ryan Kerrigan can transition to outside linebacker in their 3-4. The Jets host Kerrigan on Wednesday. New York missed on a "conversion end" in 2009, picking Vernon Gholston sixth overall. They've avoided that position since. Rex Ryan's pass rush lagged noticeably last year, however, and the team is now likely to use at least one top three-round pick on an outside 'backer. Tweener?
