Rookie CB Jimmy Smith draws Revis comparison

NFL Films guru Greg Cosell compares Colorado CB Jimmy Smith's on-field skill set to that of Darrelle Revis. Cosell says Smith possesses "clearly the mindset" of a man-to-man cover corner, plays "with an attitude," and has "loose hips" with a "smooth transition." Again, no one questions Smith's capabilities if his mind is right. He is plenty physical, and has the ability to shut down wide receivers in the NFL.

Detroit seemed somewhat impressed with him after his visit. Can't remember exactly what Schwartz or Mayhew said, but came away from it thinking that they were not going move him down much on their draft board due to his off field issues or attitude.

He doesn't seem to shy away from supporting the run, just looks like he always tackles too high, which is coachable, but if he hasn't learned yet........
