rotoworld,

Restricted free agent Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc fracture) was surprisingly back on the practice field Wednesday morning.

This is pretty shocking considering it wasn't even a certainty that Brown would be ready for training camp. He wasn't going full speed, but took some Wildcat snaps and reportedly looked pretty good. As long as the crack in Brown's foot is completely healed, there is little risk of aggravation. Brown, who had 648 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in just nine games last season, will start moving up draft boards. May. 19 - 10:05 am et

rotoworld,

Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc fracture) admitted that he's still not 100 percent and sometimes still has soreness in his foot.

Brown surprisingly participated in last week's offseason workouts, but isn't even certain he'll be completely healthy by training camp. Still, Brown appears to be ahead of schedule in his rehab. Either way, he'll be a big injury risk on fantasy draft day.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown is doing well in his return from surgery on his right foot after suffering a Lisfranc fracture more than six months ago. He said Friday he is 80 percent recovered. "I think I'm a little ahead," Brown said. "The foot feels pretty good. It's real exciting." He still has surgical screws inside his foot, but he is running. He has been fully participating in team conditioning that started back up in late March. All that's left for Brown is to receive full clearance from Dolphins trainers, something he expects to happen in time for the start of training camp around Aug. 1. Even if he misses the first part of training camp, Brown says he "definitely" will be ready for the regular-season opener at Buffalo in September. "He's doing really well," Dolphins coach Tony Sparano says. "I think every day when he gets to get out here on the grass, he feels pretty good about it."

He'll be moving up draft boards, but if you draft him, you better have a back up. I doubt he makes it all season.

That is the problem, top 7 back type production followed by early exits. You almost have to commit to an additional RB pick in your draft a little earlier than you normally would when stocking up for a team. But if he does put in a full year you have struck gold.

(cbssports.com)The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown was back on the sidelines for Wednesday's OTA workout after having a screw removed from his surgically repaired right foot last week. "It was precautionary," Brown said. "There's no soreness or any of that. The doctor told me to take two weeks off." The screw, one of two inserted during surgery last November, was removed June 2. The other screw will remain permanently to secure the area where Brown suffered a Lisfranc fracture last season. "We were going to get it taken out anyway," Brown said. "There's no reason to wait and not get it taken out when I can start training and get back in shape for camp. I figured I participated in minicamp. I don't know if we all expected that or whatever. But to be able to do that and be able to participate in OTA's tells me there's progress. It's going real well. I feel pretty good. To go ahead and get it out and get these two weeks out of the way where there's an inactivity period and then coming into the offseason, where I'll have an opportunity for six weeks to get back in shape for camp and be ready, it made sense."

Dolphins | Ronnie Brown told not to run at this time Wed Jun 9, 03:48 PM
Miami Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown (foot) has been told by doctors not to run this week or next week after a screw was taken out his surgically repaired foot last week, reports Ben Volin, of the Palm Beach Post.
Our view: The doctors advised Brown to not run for the next two weeks while the hole in his foot heals. He expects to be 100% by the start of training camp, and will compete with Ricky Williams for touches in the Dolphins backfield.

Unsigned restricted free agent Ronnie Brown said that he'll sign his tender before June 15.

Brown knows he's not going to get a long-term deal while still rehabbing a serious foot injury. He's more worried about proving his health than his money, and fantasy owners should take the same line of thinking.

As I have yet to land a trade for him, I guess I need to expect top 7 numbers out of this guy and his lisfranc injury. I don't care how many screws it takes to keep him together as long as he makes it to the end zone on no less than 3 70+ yard runs.

Restricted free agent Ronnie Brown allowed Monday night's deadline to pass without signing his tender offer from the Dolphins.

Brown is in a unique contract situation. The Dolphins declined a $5 million club option earlier this offseason, instead tendering Brown a $3.97 million offer. The $3.97 million is already at 110 percent of his 2009 salary, so it cannot be lowered. The only deadline that matters for Brown is August 10, which is 30 days before the start of the regular season.

Unsigned restricted free agent Ronnie Brown promised Tuesday that he won't be a training camp holdout this summer.

Brown wants a long-term deal and realizes he's not likely to receive one. Instead, he wants to clean up a few "language issues" in his tender offer. "I plan on signing it," said Brown. "It's not a big deal. We're just talking about some things. Obviously I'd like to get something [long term] done, but there's nothing dramatic."
