I may be out of line by some people's standards, but if I were a JETS fan I wouldn't mind my head coach flipping off jeering fans of my #1 rival team.
Love him or hate him, Rex Ryan is a good coach with a lot of passion for the game. In a league where most players and coaches express no emotion or stick to the script this is one guy who refuses to put on an act.

Not only did he flip a guy off for saying, "Jets suck" (and this is after provoking the comment by announcing the Jets would sweep the Fins), he preceded the salute by saying, "Go **** yourself!"
Jests fans revel in that shit because they like to pretend they're all from the Bronx and as such act like low-class scum. Well, they're low-class scum anyway, so it's not much of an act, but the faux Bronx crap adds a patina of sliminess that just puts them off the charts on the Revolting Human Beings Scale.
