New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who did not participate in practice Tuesday, was listed as questionable for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Lions in Detroit.
Brady has been resting his injured foot and has not participated in the team's opening practice of the week prior to wins over the Steelers and Colts. It was assumed that he would play Thursday.
A questionable listing means a player has a 50-50 chance of playing in a game. Brady also was listed with a shoulder injury, as he has been every week in recent seasons.
The only other quarterback on the Patriots is Brian Hoyer. He spent all last season with the team after being signed as a rookie free agent out of Michigan State. In seven games, he has completed 19 of 29 passes with no touchdowns and one interception, including 0 for 2 with an interception in two games this season.
Brady has started every game beginning with last year's opener after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the first game of 2008.
The Patriots will be without their top interior pass rushers for Thursday's game, as defensive linemen Mike Wright (concussion/neck) and Myron Pryor (back) have been downgraded to out on the team's injury report.
In addition, starting right guard Stephen Neal (shoulder), tackle Mark LeVoir (elbow), and cornerback Jonathan Wilhite (hip) will miss their second straight game, the team announced.
Wright leads the Patriots with 5.5 sacks, and in the team's 4-2-5 nickel package, he most often lines up at tackle next to Pryor while playing a penetrating-type role.
In addition to Brady, safety Jarrad Page (calf) and running back Fred Taylor (toe) were also listed as questionable.
The 8-2 Patriots are coming off a 31-28 win over the Colts. Brady passed for only 186 yards but threw two touchdowns for a 123.1 quarterback rating.
