If they can get him at the right price and he can hit a few incentives, this is a match made in heaven!!

-- Mickey Loomis: Saints Want to Keep Reggie Bush --
Mon May 16, 2011 --from FFMastermind.com
The Times-Picayune reports GM Mickey Loomis reiterated that the Saints are very interested in keeping RB Reggie Bush on the roster. "He's been important to us for the last five years, and we think he'll be important to us going forward," Loomis said. "But we'll deal with that when we're able to talk to Reggie and his agent again."

Bush was publically quoted on the radio as saying he knows he needs to take a pay cut and renegotiate with the team. If he really is willing to do that, I think he stays with New Orleans.

I also think that means P.T. or Ivory will be gone.

After they drafted Ingram, I thought PT and Ivory were gone

I don't think so, if they have learned something in N.O. its that you have to have quality depth. Look at what has happened with their Rbs went down, they have had good guys to step up. Bush has his nitch, that none of the other backs really fit.

I meant PT OR Ivory. They obviously have to keep depth. I would think PT would want more money than Ivory, so he will probablt be the one to go.

PT seems to be the odd man out at first glance though I wonder which guy would garner the best trade deal for the Saints. They were both injured last year and Ivory did show promise and has younger legs. ?????? PT has definitly proven himself to NOT be able to handle too big a slice.

uh, both were re-signed this year, P.T. to a two year deal I believe. So Ivory is probably gone I think.

Caution everyone......Phicinfan alert!!! He is prowling and will strike if you don't have your facts straight. Don't take this wrong Phicin, you are an incredible resource!

i was curious, so i looked . . . ivory wouldn't be eligible for the practice squad either . . . i'm not sure how many games he was on the active roster, but he played in more than 9 games last year so that eliminates him . . . not sure if a cut and resign would change that status though.
