Receiverless Raiders should be fun to watch tonight

The Al Davis show starts again tonight at the black hole. (Whoops, did I say that?) And....it's going to be very interesting with their #1 receiver out Chaz Schillens, who would be a good #3 go to guy for most NFL teams, will probably be out another 2 weeks. Davis #1 pick of the draft, Darius Heyward-Bey will playing opposite Louis Murphy the 4th round pick and Johnnie Lee Higgins the kick returner. Davis was criticized for taking Heyward-Bey in the first round since most experts had him down for round 3. He's extremely fast but needs some stick-em for his gloves, and a lot of it. I seen most of the Raiders pre-season. Looks like the Chargers will not have to worry too much about defending the pass tonight since this will be somewhere between the WAC and Pac-Ten for quality receiving tonight but hey, the Raiders can run and they will. They've got one of the best triple run threats out there with McFadden, Michael Bush and Justin Fargas even though Fargas is a little dinged up, this little guy is extremely tough. JaMarcus Russell might be the best motion fake hand off man and runner in the game right now. This should be interesting to see!!!

Both should be interesting games. If for no other reason but to help figure out future point spreads for these four teams.

I wish we could get an actual weight after we see Russell tonight, so we could have an over/under on it before game time. I say 268 if he weighs 10!!!

Who the hell is Louis Murphy? I mean really! Had a heck of a game....

hehehe...heheheh..hehe...
The Raiders PWNED the Chargers...the defense looked amazing! That was a fun one to watch...but Murphy's TD was stolen from him (gigantic bad call) and the Chargers got lucky at the end. That's how it goes..but what a great game!

I just wish they wouldn't play on that stupid field with the dirt for the baseball field still on it. I hate that.

And I'm thinking Russell just needs some corrective eyewear. Seems as if he can't see more than 20 yards down field. That guy is AWFUL in that range (okay, except for that ONE play). How can an NFL QB be that off on accuracy and still be a starter?

He's a Florida Gator, 9th fastest at the combine 4.43.

Given the chance Murphy could make my fellow Raider fans say Heyward-Bey who??

Raiders were ripped off at the end of second quarter. That was a TD pass w/o any doubts to Murphy. As long as it took to review and since it was reviewed from the box I just feel somebody got a call from the head office. I didn't like that at all!!!:shake:

Actually, there is a good writeup on this on PFT. Basically the rule states the player must maintain control of the ball before he hits the ground. I have not seen the play, but according to them multiple views show the ball moving before he hits the ground...which is why it was overturned. dunno:
