New head coach Mike Munchak will make it a priority to get the ball in Chris Johnson's hands in space more often this year, primarily through the use of screens. "Any way we can get him the ball," said Munchak. "Hand it to him, pitch it to him, throw it to him." As impressive as Johnson has been the past three years, one of our criticisms of ex-coordinator Mike Heimerdinger was that he'd pound the league's most explosive runner into the line against eight-man boxes for long stretches, failing to get him the ball in space. Johnson is ideally suited to the screen game, but Heimderdinger shunned the play because of the "number of moving parts" involved. Greater creativity in play-calling should be music to the ears of Johnson's fantasy owners.
