On pure NFL talent DMac is well ahead. BUT, he plays for the craptastic Raiders. Rice has talent but we all have to be honest in that he isn't the same caliber athlete as DMac. No knock on Rice but he's being stacked up against a very special "potential" player.
But what evens this up is situation and opportunity. Rice is in a ruuuun heavy offense with a better quarterback and defense making him very tempting. He also only has gimpGahee to compete with while DMac has a very game and talented Bush.
So while I will catch heat for it the ONLY reason I went with DMac in this situation is I'm sure Al Davis will be forced into retirement in the next few years. With a football mind at the helm (or someone with a sane mind) to build the team up DMac has massive window. If the old loon hangs on for a few more years to flush the Raiders down the toilet and into Canada I will change my vote to Rice.
