The Baltimore Ravens have signed ex-Dallas Cowboys kicker Billy Cundiff to take over from Steve Hauschka, the team said on their website Baltimore Ravens | Home) on Wednesday.

Second-year kicker Hauschka was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after he missed a 36-yard field goal in a 16-0 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Cundiff, 29, played for the Cowboys from 2002-05, connecting on 60 of 82 field goals. He worked out for the Ravens last week.

I believe it was a 38 yarder Harbaugh's comment was even though we didn't need this FG today in the 16-0 victory over the Browns, We will need somebody more dependable in other games. Hauschka was the 4th highest scoring kicker in the NFL.
 
It was kinda sad watching Hauschka on the sideline after his miss last Monday night. He knew it.....We all knew it. The kid was gonna get cut.

'Steve is a talented kicker,' Harbaugh said. 'For the most part, he's kicked well. He's had a couple of misses that we'd like to have had back. I'm sure he would have liked to have them back.'







Things change fast in the NFL. The one thing you never want is that fateful vote of confidence from anybody!
 
I wish they could dress out Harbaugh at kicker one week and show him how damn easy it is. This guy looks like a hard ass to me who who tried to blame his offenses last 3 weeks performances against Hauschka. So you only got 16 points against the Browns, How much better would 19 have been?

It did look like a pick on the kicker situation.
 
He was cut because he can't make a FG under pressure. He has a good leg but a big part of PK is mentality. This kid lost his marbles after missing the game winning kick in Minn....
